Darryl de la Harpe made his debut for the Namibian national side against Russia in January 2010, he marked his first start later in the year with a try against Romania. Darryl hails from one of Namibia’s most unique rugby families, his two brothers Ryan and Sergio, also represented their country. He became a regular feature in the Namibian side during 2010 and the first half of 2011 earning him inclusion in the squad for the 2011 Rugby World Cup in New Zealand where he played with his brother Ryan. Another product of Windhoek High School he also played Craven Week rugby at junior and senior level. He spent the 2009 season with South Africa’s Valke and returned to Namibia to play for the Welwitchias in the 2010 and 2011 Vodacom Cup seasons. Darryl has 26 caps for Namibia, he lives in Windhoek where he works a manager at an engineering firm.
